LLM SEO
LLM SEO is the practice of making a brand retrievable, quotable and recommendable inside large language model answers. LLM SEO, LLMO and generative engine optimization are different names for the same work; the vocabulary varies by vendor, the underlying activity — content, entity and citation engineering — does not.
In plain terms
If a provider tells you LLM SEO is a different service from GEO and prices it separately, ask what they do differently. Usually the answer is nothing.
Why it matters for B2B
Naming confusion makes it hard to compare providers. Once you know the terms are interchangeable you can judge proposals on method and measurement instead of on which acronym the deck uses.
How to apply it
- Compare providers on their prompt set, engine coverage and reporting, not on the label they use.
- Ask for the same measurement before and after, whatever the work is called.
- Treat any pitch that separates LLM SEO from GEO into two priced workstreams with scepticism.
